Hearing Care Austin is fortunate to have a board-certified otologist and a highly experienced audiologist who are dedicated to serving infants, children, adults, and special needs populations with a hearing or balance disorder. Our providers work together to diagnose and treat your condition with comprehensive and compassionate care. They are truly passionate about what they do and take the time to listen to and address all your concerns.

Raymond J. Brown, MD

Raymond J. Brown, MDRaymond Brown, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist. He attended college at Texas State University and graduated summa cum laude. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and graduated at the top of his class. Dr. Brown remained in San Antonio for his residency, where he received comprehensive training in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. He has been active in research, authoring multiple publications, and was honored to receive the G. Richard Holt Research Award while in residency.

Dr. Brown enjoys treating patients of all ages and is interested in all aspects of his specialty, from ear tubes to sinusitis to head and neck cancer. He believes in compassionate, patient-centered care, and places a strong emphasis on patient education and overall quality of life.

Dr. Brown is an accomplished songwriter and, along with his former band, has had music featured in several major films, television shows, and commercials. Outside of work, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing and composing music, attending his kids’ sporting events, and spending time outdoors.

Margaux Colburn, AuD

Board Certified Doctor of AudiologyMargaux Colburn, AuD

Margaux Colburn, Au.D. is a board-certified audiologist with over 10-years of experience in diagnosing and treating patients from infancy to seniors. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where she graduated with a BS in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She moved to Austin to attend graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology

She has a passion for humanitarian audiology and has traveled to Peru as a part of a team that performed over 3000 hearing screenings to underserved areas of Lima, as well as fitting several children with hearing aids as a part of this trip. She has also presented bilingual lectures on pediatric audiology to graduate students in Peru to further improve access to care for children in the region.

Outside of the office, Dr. Colburn enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and two children.
